Every new account gets 45 days of Founder VIP free, counted from the day the account is created. You can subscribe during those 45 days, but your card is not charged until the free period ends. If you cancel before then, you are never charged.
In the Horn of Africa, Kidan stays free after the 45 days, with a daily like allowance.
VIP is a subscription that renews automatically until you cancel: every month, every 3 months, or every 12 months, depending on the plan you choose. Each renewal is charged at the start of the new period. Prices are set in US dollars and charged in your local currency at the exchange rate your card provider or Google Play applies.
If we ever change a price, we will tell you at least 30 days before it affects you, and you can cancel before it applies.
Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
Deleting your Kidan account cancels a website subscription immediately, so no further payments are taken. If you delete within a refund window below, email us and we will refund you as described. A Google Play subscription must still be cancelled in Google Play.
Refunds go back to the card or payment method you paid with, usually within 5โ10 working days, depending on your bank. Because currencies move, the amount in your local currency can differ slightly from what was charged.
Google Play purchases are refunded under Google Play's refund policy; you can request one from Google directly, or email us and we will help.
If a renewal payment fails, we retry it and email you. You keep VIP for 7 days while the payment is retried. If it still has not gone through, VIP pauses until your payment details are updated in Manage subscription; nothing extra is charged for the gap.
This policy adds to, and never reduces, the rights you have under consumer law where you live, including the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations and the EU Consumer Rights Directive. If you have a problem with a charge, please contact us first; we can usually sort it out faster than a bank dispute.
