Welcome to Kidan ("ኪዳን" meaning Covenant). By creating an account, downloading the app, or using the Web Platform, you agree to these legally binding Terms of Service.

1. Eligibility Requirements

• You must be at least 18 years of age to create a profile.
• You must not have been convicted of any felony or sexual offense.
• You may only maintain one active personal account.

2. Zero-Tolerance Safety Rules

• No Catfishing or Impersonation: You must use recent, genuine photos of yourself.
• No Solicitation or Scams: Asking matches for financial assistance, wire transfers, or gift cards is strictly forbidden.
• No Explicit Media: Nudity, pornography, or sexually explicit content is blocked automatically and causes immediate account termination.
• Respectful Interaction: Treat every member with the dignity expected in our community.

3. Free Access & Billing

Every new account receives 45 days of complimentary Founder VIP access, in every region, counted from the date the account is created. Paid subscriptions are not yet available. When they open, prices are set in US dollars: currently $14.99 a month for the Western Diaspora and $7.99 a month in the Gulf, with discounted 3-month and 12-month plans each billed as a single payment for the period, and free access in the Horn of Africa with a daily like allowance. You are charged the equivalent in your local currency, at the rate Google Play or our web payment provider applies at the time of purchase. We will give notice before any trial ends, and nothing is charged without your consent. Subscriptions may be managed or cancelled at any time.

4. Buna & In-Person Safety Recommendations

When transitioning from chat to an in-person Buna coffee date, we urge members to always meet in public locations (e.g. well-lit coffee shops, restaurants), inform friends or family of their whereabouts, and arrange independent transportation.

5. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our community standards without prior notice.
